The good news: we know which codes need to be changed to enable DV-in on the MV30:

The bad news: I don't know how to reach address 0118! I've always thought that the page ran from 0000 through 00ff. Do we need another button, or something else? Random access using the 0-9,a-f buttons that do not appear on the RC. So we need some other aparatus that can emit these signals.
Maybe using the LANC connection, see the pages of David Meed and Manfred Boehmel. As you can see there are MANY more codes defined in principle....
Also fairly likely is that these codes exist in the InfraRed domain too. But how to generate them? Maybe by using the IR-port of your PC, see e.g. the Linux IrDA Project or Dschen Reineckes pages.
